NPSL Expansion: Shenandoah Thunder

Shenandoah ThunderThe Shenandoah Thunder have announced intentions to apply for membership to the National Premier Soccer League for the 2014 season. The Thunder have announced three tryout dates in April and will enter a team in the Mason Dixon Soccer League for the 2013 season. They will look to schedule friendlies against regional NPSL clubs to round out their pilot season.

Should the Thunder be granted NPSL membership it seems most likely that they would be placed in the Mid Atlantic Division of the Southern Region with other Virginia based clubs Chesterfield United, RVA Football Club, and Federal City FC.
